Field Marshal Asim Munir hosts dinner to honour leadership and unity during conflict

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, hosted a high-level dinner on to pay tribute to Pakistan’s political leadership, armed forces, and citizens for their unity and resilience during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The distinguished gathering was graced by the Honourable President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari; the Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif; Deputy Prime Minister/ Foreign Minister; Chairman Senate; Speaker National Assembly; Federal Ministers; Governors; Chief Ministers; Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee; Chief of Air & Naval Staff; senior leadership of major political parties; high-ranking government officials; and senior officers from the three Services.

In his remarks, COAS Asim Munir thanked political leaders for their foresight and credited seamless inter-services coordination for operational success during the conflict.

He also praised the country’s youth and media for effectively countering disinformation efforts by India, describing them as a “steel wall” against hostile narratives.

He further commended the role of political scientists, engineers, and diplomats whose contributions proved vital during the operation.

The gathering concluded with a shared reaffirmation of unity, patriotism, and collective resolve to move forward with strength and purpose.
